WHY I BECAME A DOULA

For me, this work is personal.

My journey to becoming a doula was shaped by my own experiences with motherhood, loss, hope, and the importance of feeling truly supported during some of life's most vulnerable moments.

Those experiences changed the way I see birth. I learned that support isn't simply about being present—it's about helping someone feel heard, informed, respected, and confident in the decisions they make for themselves and their family.

That understanding is what led me to birth work. I wanted to become the kind of support I believe every birthing person deserves: a calm presence, a listening ear, a source of encouragement, and someone who helps create space for their voice throughout the experience.

Today, I bring that same intention into every family I support. Whether your birth includes an epidural, an induction, an unmedicated labor, a planned Cesarean, or takes an unexpected turn, my purpose remains the same—to help you feel supported, prepared, and empowered in your birth.

"Birth doesn’t have to look a certain way to be powerful.
It should feel like yours."
